🎸 Tommy Makem Festival 🎸

Primary 7 had a blast writing and performing poems and songs inspired by local musical legend Tommy Makem as part of the Tommy Makem festival. A huge thank you to Dr Frank Ferguson from The John Hewitt Society who taught the class about the history of Tommy Makem and his music. First, the class learned the song Red is the Rose by Tommy Makem before writing and performing poems and songs of their own. Primary 7 then worked together to write a whole-class song using the rhythm of Red is the Rose and of course it had to be about Christmas 🎄  Fabulous work Primary 7!
