Shared Education - STEM Workshop 1

4th Mar 2020

On Friday 28th February, the children from Primary 6 met up with the children from Lisnadill Primary School for a STEM workshop led by Sarah from Sentinus. The children were excited to spend some time with their friends from Lisnadill as they learnt all about Bridges and Structures. The children kicked off the morning by working in teams and creating a structure made from spaghetti and jelly babies. They enjoyed working as a team to complete this fun but tricky challenge! The children had to use roll tubes using A4 sheets of paper, a hole puncher, glue and plastic rivets to create a bridge, strong enough to hold a 2 litre bottle of water! Have a look at some of our fabulous creations. Exciting to think that some of these young children will become the engineers of the future!
