Primary 7 hosted a very informative and enjoyable assembly this morning as we celebrated the ‘International Day of Peace’ this week. As the old saying goes 'Everyday is a School Day' and indeed we learned plenty this morning as the P7 pupils bamboozled us with the facts and history surrounding World Peace Day. They explained the meaning behind the different symbols of peace - and least we forget ‘Mr Peace-Maker’ himself aka Rokas, who highlighted the importance of keeping peace in our school, in our homes and in our communities. It was very fitting that our pupils were able to associate the white dove on our very own school crest as being the universal symbol of hope and peace.
Our Primary 7 pupils finished off with a perfect rendition of 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing' while reminding us all of the importance to 'stop, breath and find that inner peace'. 🕊

Mrs Hughes congratulated our ‘Pupils of the Week’ and reiterated the message that as teachers we like nothing better than to see our pupils enthusiastic about their learning and enjoying their lessons. So to all those pupils today you have made your teachers and parents very proud. Your enthusiasm for learning with raised hands and smiling faces while all the time inspiring others in the class to do the same has certainly gained merit today 🎉
