Digital Leaders

We are very lucky in St. Francis of Assisi to have wonderful I.C.T. wizards! Our Digital Leaders are instrumental in supporting I.C.T. development in school. They act as a support to teachers and take on the role of a peer tutor when introducing new apps to their friends. Our digital leaders have created a short presentation on their role and responsibilities, enjoy!

Polished programmers!

Key Stage 2 Digital Leaders have successfully completed training in our new I.T. resource Spheros. They are now ready to support other classes (and of course our teachers!) in using this sophisticated resource. Spheros are a fun way to develop programming and coding skills. Children practise problem-solving and logical reasoning techniques when creating instruction codes.

Top of the apps!

Digital Leaders tell us what’s ‘appening with the latest apps in education! This month’s top pick is Sumdog.

Sumdog

Digital Leaders, Sarah and Oscar, reviewed the latest app to be downloaded onto our iPads. They have really enjoyed using Sumdog and love that they can access it at home and school. They were first introduced to the app during numeracy club and have went on to download it on their personal tablets so they can play against their friends at home. The app involves highly engaging games that helps students practise their numeracy and literacy skills. The app was given 5 stars for being fun, motivating and easy to use. The best bit? It’s free!

Children in P3-P7 have all been given a user name so download today and join the fun!
